One found beaten to death in Ccpur

TUITHAPHAI, FEB 27: A person identified as S Lalsanglien, 27, husband of Lhingneimawi of D Phailian Kashmir Veng was beaten to death by some unidentified miscreants last night at about 8 pm.

According to sources close to the family, last night at about 8 pm they were called to attend to their son whereupon they rushed to the spot where their son was.

On finding him they knew he was already in an unconscious state due to apparent heavy beating by blunt weapons. Soon after he was taken to their home late in the night, he suddenly lost consciousness and passed away at about 9 pm, said the sources.

The sources further said that the deaceased had gone to Henglep to deliver rice loaded in a jeep and thereafter his family had been under the impression that he was still in the place.

He is survived by his wife and son.
