Imphal, March 03 2009: Decrying the killing of Kasom Khullen SDO Dr Thingnam Kishan and this two subordinate staff by armed cadres of the NSCN (IM) and disposing their bodies at Taphou Kuki village area in Senapati district as an act of instigating misunderstanding among the people, Kuki Inpi, Sadar Hills; Kuki Women's Union, Sadar Hills and Kuki Students Organisation (KSO), Sadar Hills have demanded the killers to perform the Kuki customary ritual of Toltheh (cleaning the village).
In a joint statement, information and publicity secretary of KSO Sadar Hills Thangboi Hmar stated that Kukis would not remain quiet if the said customary ritual is not duly performed by the killers.
Thangboi also appealed to all concerned not to carry out any anti-social activi-ties or crimes in Kuki areas as the Kukis stand and live for communal harmony and peaceful co-existence.
