Bangalore: Last year’s winner of the Bangalore Mizo Association (BMA) League Cup Sinlung FC, the Hmar Students’ Association (HSA)-sponsored team, will not take part in ‘BMA League 2010′ which is set to kick off on August 21, according to HSA leaders.
The decision was taken after the BMA League organizers allegedly changed some participating rules which were not agreeable to the former champs.
“Besides, the HSA has not been formally informed about the changes nor were we informed about the upcoming event,” Bangalore Hmar community newsletter ‘Zawlbuk’ quoted HSA leaders as saying .
However, individuals who want to participate in the event will not be prevented from taking part in the event, the report added.
According to the BMA release, the football fixtures will be finalized in the coming days before the kick off. Participating teams are to submit an entry fee of Rs 500.
