Bangalore, Sept 13, 2009: Hmar Students' Association sponsored Sinlung FC stormed into the BMA League final defeating Chukchuz FC 6-0 here at Austin Town Playground in Bangalore on Saturday (Sept 12).It was a one-sided match with Sinlung FC players scoring five goals in quick succession in the first half and another one in the second half.
Tv Ngurneilai Ngurte, Tv Stephen Hmar and Tv Muon netted 2 goals each.
Even as game was on, fans were also fully geared up - cheering their 'Sinlung stars'- with the beat of a khuong (drum) and chanting 'Sinlung huha...Sinlung huha ...!!!!"
The girls were particularly impressed by Tv Amos Laltading, who despite his a small-stature not only managed to run after the ball all around field but for being an entertainer as well.
Earlier in the day Kolodyne FC defeated Papa's FC in their semi-final match. With this the one-month BMA League 2009 football campaign is all set to come to an interesting climax when Sinlung FC will take on Kolodyne, probably in the coming week. The final match schedule is is yet to be fixed.
In the evening after the match, HSA, vice-president Pu Changa hosted a dinner party for the jubilant Sinlung FC players and fans at Sinlung FC manager Tv Japhet Darngawn's house.
Sources told Inpui that Sinlung FC players and fans are all "prepared to lift the BMA League Cup 2009."
Let's wait and see if that dream could be materialised.
