Why Michael Jackson's skin turns white?

Many people have the impression that the late 'King of Pop' Micheal Jackson underwent a plastic surgery to change the colour of his skin from black to white. Even you might have heard the same story told over and over again over some gossips. But the real story is completely different- Micheal Jackson had a severe skin disease called Vitiligo. This disease results in loss of pigmentation and thereby turning a part or whole of the body white!

Michael suffered with the disease for more than 20 years and to look tasteful he would use makeups and sometimes plastic surgeries. Watch this video on Vitiligo and how Micheal tells Oprah Winfrey and the world with a heavy heart that he really suffered from the dreaded skin disease. We hope with this video would bring awareness about this skin disorder and also clear our doubts on how Micheal's skin turns white.

    I was never a fan of Micheal but i feel something struck me when i got the news this morning. About his skin colour, it's true he has this skin disease and he did not turn white because he wanted to be a white man. Micheal rest in peace!

    Thanks for posting this. I was trying to tell somebody about this, and they thought that this disease couldn't affect the entire body.

    Whilst I recalled Michael Jackson claiming he had a skin disorder, I didn't know whether to believe it or not. It is only now, after his passing, that I have taken the time to research. Having seen this clip, I feel ashamed. I am sorry I didn't believe his claim and that I bought into the hysteria created by the media. This skin disease can account for some of his perceived strange behaviour. Yes, he was odd at times. But was an outstanding performer - a talent we will not likely see again.

    it upsets me to have ever doubted michael.
    i genuinely believed e bleached his skin.
    and now that he's gone i feel i'll never be able to make it up to him.

    I did believe that Michael had a skin disease, however i did feel that he bleached his skin only so he could be one solid color..i never knew universal vitiligo existed and i thought that all the people who suffered from vitiligo just had blotches here and there on their bodies..i did not know it could affect the entire body like michael..im ashamed of myself 4 letting the media corrupt my mind of truly the most amazin artist we will ever come to see. i was always a fan & always will be! Rip MJ

    And the same goes for me, I didnt even know he had a skin desease, but because this is true, I understand even if he would bleach his skin, because people now can be so cruel that I would have even bleached my skin if that happened to me, R.I.P Micheal I think now people will realise how great your really are...     this video made me so sad, but it also helped me understand everything better, though i always believed him about the vitiligo thing. what i can't believe is that there are STILL ppl who think he bleached his skin to look white or whatever. it makes me sick. but then again, people wouldn't have started believing such a crap if the media hadn't come up with that idea -.-

    MJ was a calculating pedophile who used fame and money to buy his way out of charges. See the OJ Simpson trial for reference.

    The mindless pawns who believe his excuses demonstrate the sorry state of affairs of our society in regards to practical common sense. He clearly altered his skin in some cosmetic surgery fashion. The Vitiligo claim is a manufactured excuse.

    I hope this despicable creep felt some acute pain before his demise. The world is a better and safer place without you Michael.

    Both accusers have admitted to lying for their parents in order to get money. Do your research before making accusations. THERE WAS LEGAL proof he had Vitiligo. But I suppose it makes you feel big to attack someone no longer able to defend himself. I have to say one thing and I'm sure every fan will agree, he may not be able to defend himself, but we are still here and we will not allow him to endure further ABUSE in death.

    yep i have googled about his vitiligo illness...i 80% believe that...but 20% i don't know...the whle skin could change?? really?

    You speak in a very matter of fact way, a way in which you do not have th right to speak. Nobody knows whether the allegations against him were true, or whether he did or did not have Vitiligo.. But people need to cut this man some slack! He was mentally ill, not severly but it's clear that something was missing, perhaps a result of a broken childhood.

    But why do you care so much? Is you life that shit that you have belittle the dead?
