Imphal, April 11 2012: Dr Chaltolien Amo, Congress MLA of Tipaimukh A/C under Churachandpur district, who is the lone candidate filling nominations for the election to the post of Chairman of Hill Area Committee (HAC, is all set to be appointed as the new Chairman.
With the last date for filling of nominations for the post of Chairman of HAC over today, no other Congress MLAs, with exception to Dr Chaltolien Amo, filed their nominations.
Candidature of Dr Chaltolien for the post of Chairman of HAC, was proposed by five proposers namely Gaikhangam, MK Preshaw, Fransics Ngajokpa, D Korungthang and Victor Keishing and seconded by another five persons namely T Manga Vaifei, Phungzathang Tonsing, Ngamthing Haokip, ZK Newmai and Yamthong Haokip. Meanwhile, Speaker Th Lokeshwar has informed that since Dr Chaltolien Amo is the lone candidate filling nominations for the post of Chgairman, Hill Area Committee, he would be officially announced as the new Chairman of the committee by TN Haokip, Presiding Officer of the election, tomorrow at 11 am.
Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh is yet to expand his ministry.
