Imphal, May 03 2010: Nodal Officer AYUSH under NRHM reportedly visited CHC Parbung and PHC Senvon under Tipaimukh block of Churachandpur on April 29 and 30.
Apart from the pathetic condition, the officer found that except for one lady AYUSH doctor identified as Ruwndar Rodani from Chandel district, there were no doctor in these heath centres.
The lady AYUSH doctor in question has been looking after PHC Senvon as the MO in-charge and attending OPD from a rented house while staying in the house of an Anganwadi worker.
While interacting with the village chairman Hrangchuplien, the Nodal Officer learnt that the village has 545 houses with a population of 4700 people.
Expressing concern over lack of medical care in the area, the village chairman urged the authorities concerned for posting more doctors and medical staff.
